Brigadier General Tobias Schmidt was a Luftwaffe officer stationed in Italy. He was placed in charge of a Luftwaffe airfield that used the new Fritz X rockets.
Schmidt occupied manor on San Celini Island, guarded by unit of infantry. Around Island four lieutenants were positioned as well. When passive General stayed inside of manor, rarely going out to check on guards in the garden. When alerted he hides inside of manor. If Karl assault manor, General makes his last stand in garden.
He was assassinated by Karl Fairburne, who searched his body for a letter containing informations about Kessler's work.

- His uniform was wrong, as he is wearing a Heer General Uniform instead of a Luftwaffe General uniform.
- He uses a Luger as his weapon of choice
- He is both first high-ranking officer and first proper target encountered in Sniper Elite 4.
- He uses unique head model, not used by any other characters.
