Major General Hans von Eisenberg was a general in the Wermacht during the Battle of Berlin in 1945. He was in charge of a German Rocket Program involving the V2. He and his team were planning to defect to the Soviet Union, when Germany was on the brink of defeat with the Red Army invading the capital Berlin.
Demise[]
Von Eisenberg and his team became targets of OSS agent Karl Fairburne, who was dispatched to eliminate them. Fairburne assassinated him whist he attempted to negotiate for safe passage for himself and his team with a Russian contact at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. He and his Russian contact (optional) were assassinated by Karl Fairburne at the Branderburg Gate.
Martin Bormann[]
Hans von Eisenberg mission was the remake of the original Martin Bormann assassination mission. Martin Bormann was a real-life figure and deputy to Hitler, succeeding Rudolf Hess when the latter was captured by the British in 1941 while flying to Scotland in an attempt to negotiate Britain's exit from World War II. The defection attempt in-game was based on rumors of Bormann being a Soviet double agent.
