Stephan is the brother of an American pilot named Thomas. An experienced mechanic, Stephan was captured by the NKVD and held at an observatory. When Karl Fairburne attempts to extract Thomas from Berlin, the pilot refuses to go anywhere unless his brother was rescued from captivity. The player is thus tasked with rescuing Stephan, although he ultimately refuses to leave Berlin.
